      The Wild, Wild West of Programming

      Created in 10 days, JavaScript is the more popular, younger brother of the web development world. One of (if not the) most popular languages in the world, JavaScript is the cornerstone of website interactivity. Are you obsessed with functionality? Probably not? That's alright JavaScript will still win you over with its interesting syntax, convoluted organization, and crazy power. In this beginner focused three hour workshop, attendees will learn the fundamentals behind JavaScript and build out an interactive browser game to take back to the kids. Featuring: Carlos Salazar, Freelance Web Developer and InstructorCarlos graduated from the University of New Orleans in 1995 with a Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering. He worked at the Johnson Space Center with United Space Alliance then for another 15 years in the private sector for a myriad of industries. He obtained his MBA from Loyola University of Chicago in 2007 with a focus in Internet Marketing and Finance. Currently, Carlos works as a freelancer, primarily utilizing MVC Frameworks, Wordpress customization and custom integration. He also teaches an Code Immersion courses at Tech Talent South, focusing largely on Ruby on Rails. RSVP Here:
